A 73-year-old Yorks resident, Anthonyson King, declared his innocence in court yesterday, refuting accusations of using insulting language and resisting arrest.
King will stand trial on July 11, maintaining his adamant stance of having done nothing wrong.
The incident occurred on June 13 near the former St. Patricks school when an ambulance passed two parked vehicles.
A witness claimed King drove his vehicle forward while an officer stood at the door, prompting the officer to retreat.
Allegedly, King then drove forward again, narrowly avoiding the officer.
Following a confrontation, the police cautioned and attempted to arrest King, resulting in a physical struggle.
