Three young men dead, fourth injured, in horrific Baldivis crash

Three young men have died and a fourth has been left with serious injuries, after two cars crashed into each other in Perth’s south on Wednesday evening.

At 5.05pm a white Audi A3 driving west on Sixty Eight Road in Baldivis and a blue Kia Stinger driving east collided.

The 24-year-old male driver of the Audi and two male passengers aged 24 and 21 years received critical injuries and died at the scene.

A fourth man aged 21, also travelling in the Audi, received serious injuries and was conveyed to hospital. The 44-year-old woman driving the Kia Stinger received minor injuries.

Officers from the Major Crash Investigation are now investigating the circumstances behind to collision, and examining the scene.

The triple-fatal crash comes just days after parents of a six-year-old boy died while riding a motorcycle along Pinjar Road in Tapping.

Paul Pearce, 39, and his passenger, 35-year-old Lynette Reader, crashed into a car on Sunday, leaving their family heartbroken.

WA Police Commissioner Col Blanch said police were investigating whether speed had been a factor in the crash, and described the incident as a tragedy.
