Aldi's heated airer that costs just 8p an hour to run returns this weekend

With the colder autumn weather and the soaring cost of gas and electricity prices, many will be looking for ways to keep down their energy bills - particularly while doing laundry.

Over the past few months, many households have been looking for more cost-effective methods of drying their clothes without popping them in the tumble dryer which is said to cost about 37.5p an hour to run.

Which is why there is good news on the horizon, as Aldi is set to bring about two of its sell-out heated airers this weekend - with one costing just 8p an hour to run.

The supermarket has confirmed the Easy Home Wing Heated Airer With Cover and Three Tier Heated Airer will both be available this weekend from Sunday, October 2.

The popular Easy Home Wing Heated Airer With Cover costs £39.99 has been a hit with shoppers and will be available to pre-order this Sunday, before landing in stores from Sunday, October 9.

It also features 20 heating tubes that are said to heat up in five minutes and features foldable wings that can adapt to any space in the home.

Said to cost just 8p an hour to run, the energy-efficient airer regularly sells out as soon as it comes into stock, so you might want to be quick with your pre-orders to combat the new energy price rise.

Not to mention that it is significantly cheaper than other versions currently on the market, as Argos' Minky Wing 12m Heated Clothes Airer with Cover costs £55. Meanwhile, Currys Heated Clothes Airer costs £69.99.

And that's not all, as the budget supermarket will also be bringing back the Three Tier Heated Airer for those who are looking to maximise their drying space.

Complete with a cover and 20 heating tubes, the tiered airer is another option for anyone looking to dry their clothes without racking up the extra expense this winter.

Priced at £89.99, the online exclusive airer has been compared to Lakeland's similar airer which costs £149.99 - meaning shoppers can save a whopping £60.

Aldi's £39.99 Easy Home Wing Heated Airer With Cover will be available to pre-order from Sunday, October 2 and will land in-stores Sunday, October 9.

The £89.99 Three Tier Heated Airer With Cover will be available to purchase online only from Sunday, October 2.
