Aldi shoppers report growing concerns about emptying supermarket shelves during the cost of living crisis .
Some consumers say they are seeing fewer items in their local Aldis - one of the cheapest supermarkets in the UK.
One shopper took to social media express her worry as she’s noticing her favourite items disappearing over the last couple of weeks.
The shopper wrote on a Facebook group for fans of the supermarket: “I’ve just come back from Aldi. The shelves are looking emptier by the week. No soya milk sweetened version for weeks. No sweetened almond milk for two weeks. Cranberry juice is very hit and miss and has been for weeks. I love Aldi but whatever is happening?”
Another consumer said: “My husband works for Aldi. They struggle to get certain items for weeks now. Not their fault.
"Also, they are seeing a record number of new people through the doors switching to cheaper supermarkets. They can’t get enough staff to fill the vacancies either. It’s all due to the war. It’s worldwide shortages.”
Other shoppers noted that rival supermarkets also had fewer items on shelves - not just Aldi.

One wrote: “Asda was the same yesterday. Shelves were empty. The biscuit aisle was dire in particular. Couldn’t get a dried herb I was after either. I was doing my mum and dad’s shopping and there was a lot on there I couldn’t get.”
Aldi has been contacted for comment.
More and more Brits are struggling to pay their bills amid the rising cost of living and record high inflation rates.
Many have been left strapped for cash at the supermarket, with the price of daily essentials on the rise.
Yesterday an Aldi customer was left dumbstruck by a cashier's response to a pensioner who was left £1 short at the checkout .
The heartwarming encounter took the shopper aback and prompted her to share it online.
Roné Bouwer Baxendell recalled how the elderly woman appeared to keep tabs on her shopping total as the items were scanned through the till.
When she came up short, the Aldi worker stepped in to help and offered to pay the remainder, reports Manchester Evening News.
Writing on social media, Ms Baxendell wrote: "Today at my local Aldi in Towcester, there was an elderly lady in front of me, keep checking how much she’s spending.
"Long story short, the amount came to over what she had and asked for certain items to be credited off.
"The Aldi cashier turned around and said it’s only £1 something over, I’ll pay it for you."
Overcome with emotion, Ms Baxendell praised the staff member for her selfless gesture when she took her turn at the till.
