US fugitive Nicholas Rossi found guilty of abusing Glasgow hospital staff

A man accused of being US fugitive Nicholas Rossi was convicted today of abusing a senior hospital staff member.

Arthur Knight, 35, behaved in a threatening or abusive manner on the ward of Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow on July 5, 2022.

He has been released on bail from the Edinburgh Sheriff's Court of Appeals and faces extradition to the United States on charges of sexual assault.

Knight was stated in court to be a registered sex offender accused of fraud and other crimes, including sexual conduct.

The court said from Dr. Miller, 58, that her patient was known as "Arthur Knight Brown."

She claimed to have been able to speak to Knight lying in bed.On her third attempt, Nurse Bagli was asleep.

Prosecutor Julie Clark asked if the doctor had commented on his accent.

She believed Knight to be steadfast, adding that she was "pretty calm" at first. We listened to him, though we weren't sure what he was doing, and he was discharged home."

Dr. Miller later noted that Knight engaged in "lewd acts" and was regularly "f-worded." ' was used.

27-year-old nurse Bagli told the court that Knight had been admitted to A and E because of "chest pain and seizures due to color."

She claimed she told them to "shut up" when it became clear that Knight was being discharged. Witnesses claimed she ran because she thought she would "get hurt."

Nurse said she was locked in a separate ward for safety after the incident. She added that she returned to Knight's room five minutes later and that he was "sitting on the floor" screaming. told the court that

He said he was "mad" at Dr. Miller for the way his wife spoke to Miranda. Knight said he had called his doctor into his room to discuss medications and had no issues with his discharge.

He added that he "pushed" himself out of bed with his elbow and used his elbow to go to the door of his room. Mr. Kinlock told Knight that he was "shouting and cursing" and calling the nurses derogatory names.

During cross-examination, Miss Clark asked why the medic screamed and ran out of the room.
