A murder probe in Ayr has entered its third day as cops scanned nearby CCTV for clues.
Detectives are still investigating the death of a woman, named yesterday as Susan Turner, after her body was found inside a block of flats on Nursery Hall on Monday.
Police confirmed the identity of the 41-year-old victim who was killed inside the property in the Whitletts area of the town.
Ayrshire Live understand that enquiries into her death are still ongoing.
Officers have been stationed outside the flat since they were first called on Monday, March 27 around 10.15am.
Ms Turner was pronounced dead at the scene sparking a murder probe following a post mortem the following day.
Yesterday detectives of the Major Investigation Team revealed they had poured through nearby CCTV footage in an attempt to look for clues.
Senior detectives also made a desperate plea for information and asked residents to check their own home cameras or car dash cams in a bid to help them.
Detective Chief Inspector Peter Sharp said: "Our thoughts and are with the Ms Turner's family and friends at this very difficult time.
"We have a dedicated team of officers working on this investigation and extensive enquiries are ongoing at this time.
"Officers are gathering CCTV footage from the surrounding area and door to door inquiries are also being carried out.
"I am keen to speak to anyone with any private CCTV, dashcam, doorbell or any other footage that they think would assist the enquiry.
"We will have a continued police presence in the area and anyone with any concerns can approach these officers."

Chief Inspector Sharp also issued a message of reassurance to the stunned community as he insisted officers were doing all they could to hunt down the killer.
Chief Inspector Sharp added: "It is vital that we find out more about what has happened as soon as we can and I would like to reassure the community that officers are working to trace whoever is responsible.
"I am appealing to the community to get in touch with us with any information they have, no matter how insignificant it might seem, please pass it on to officers.
"Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0920 of Monday, 27 March, 2023, or please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously."
A Police Scotland spokesperson today added: "Extensive enquires are ongoing."
