SATURDAY's show came with surprises, not least of which was Fleur bursting into tears after her performance.
At the time, Fleur East, who's partnered with Vito Coppola, explained the tears away to Claudia Winkleman saying it was due to the intense rehearsals.
Speaking on her radio show on Monday though, the 34 year old singer said it was actually due to her father wishing her well from beyond the grave.
Her father, Malcom, died in 2020.
Fleur explained: "All day I was trying to make sure I found the right emotion for this dance as I was really worried about going on there, being quite blank and empty and just doing the steps. I really wanted to commit to it.
"But just before we danced, I went to see my family who were sitting in the audience and my Uncle Sean lifted his arm to show me his wrist - and he was wearing my Dad's bracelet.
"He didn't even say anything to me, just showed it to me and that set me off. It was just seconds before I performed and with everything else and just being nervous, I started crying, blubbering."

Singer Fleur was in tears during last night’s show of Strictly Come Dancing, after dancing the Viennese Waltz with Vito.
She appeared on Hits Radio this morning and explained why she was emotional last night.

Dancer Nadia Bychkova said it was “especially tough” to be put against “the amazing @kayeadamsofficial and of course my @kaiwidd,” she wrote on her Instagram.
Kai Widdrington was voted off with Kaye Adams last night.
She went on to say: “”I’m gutted for you both @kayeadamsofficial you are really a superstar and I absolutely adore you. You did an incredible job and I’m sure from what you told me you had an amazing Strictly experience with @kaiwidd.”

Kai Widdrington ‘gutted’ to have been voted off Strictly
The dance pro and his partner, Kaye Adams were voted off the show last night.
Kaye took to Instagram, writing: I want to say a massive thank you to my amazing celebrity partner @kayeadamsofficial.
“It was my absolute pleasure to step into the rehearsal room and on to that strictly ballroom floor with you. We had such fun endless laughs and I’m gutted it’s come to an early end.
“You really are and always will be a superstar! keep shining #TeamspecialK.”
Fleur East breaks down after criticism
The former X-Factor contestant and now radio host, broke down in tears after Shirley Ballas gave her critique.
The judge praised areas, but suggested that Fleur had a lot to work on.
Ballas said: “I thought you executed it beautifully and you looked divine. It just, there were too many foot faults for me.
“The most simple step when moving forward is you lose your standing leg, shift across the floor and it is heel, toe flat.
“It never got enough flow for me. I love the contemporary side, the chemistry that both of you have, you looked divine. Keep working on those small details. I’m sure you will get there in the end.”
Fleur and Vito, also known as Flito, managed to stay in the competition and will dance again next week.

Last year, Giovanni was partnered with Rose Ayling-Ellis.
Rose, 27, has been deaf wince birth and was the celebrity paired with Giovanni during the last season.
A British Sign Language user, the actress taught Giovanni some as they danced.
The professional dancer, this year paired with presenter, Richie Anderson, has continued to communicate using BSL and taught Richie.
Strictly Pro opens up about previous dance partners
Karen Hauer has starred on Strictly Come Dancing since 2012, and is currently partnered with Jayde Adams.
She said she was much more “comfortable” dancing with a female partner when speaking to the Metro.
Karen said: “It is true I think but I think that’s what you need in a partnership: you have to be comfortable with one another.”
“I definitely have never felt this comfortable with any other partner – don’t tell them,” she added.
