Controversial influencer Andrew Tate admits he’d ‘say things differently’ while being grilled by Piers Morgan on TalkTV

CONTROVERSIAL influencer Andrew Tate admitted he would “do things differently” after being grilled by Piers Morgan.

But the internet star, 35, refused to apologise for his views, insisted he still believes everything he says and said teenagers misunderstand his points.

Piers said: "That is misogyny because you are encouraging a mindset about 25-year-old women that makes them sound out to be infinitely less desirable than 18 or 19-year-olds and [you are saying] they've had too much sex to be taken in a respectable way."

Andrew insisted: "Well firstly, even if that was the case, that would not be misogyny. That's not misogyny because it's not anti-women.

"I'm ageist perhaps, but misogynistic, absolutely not. You said it was misogyny and I am telling you it is not."

Piers also told his viewers: "His often scandalous views about women have made him notorious across the world."

Ex-Big Brother contestant Tate, nicknamed the “King of Toxic Masculinity”, told the host: “I would say them differently perhaps [now].

“I recognise that with massive fame you have to be more careful about being misconstrued.

“As I said earlier, one per cent of people misunderstanding you with a small audience doesn’t matter, it matters with a very large audience.”

But he continued: “I still believe the things I say. I do not want to be a negative force in the world.

“I also understand that I am a man who has led a very difficult and nuanced life and I am capable of making nuanced points that are maybe misunderstood by teenagers.

“However, that can be said of anybody and everything. Every opinion online can be misunderstood by children.

“Trying to protect children from the internet is a very interesting subject in of itself because I would argue that 80% of content on the internet is going to be negative or detrimental to a young mind that doesn’t understand the world.”

The full interview will be aired on TalkTV's Piers Morgan Uncensored later this week.

Tate was banned from social media sites Instagram and Facebook in August after a series of misogynistic rants.

He has also been banned from other platforms including Twitter, YouTube and TikTok.

He had more than 4.6million Instagram followers at the time his Instagram account was banned.

Tate, who was born in Luton, now lives in Romania.

His views have been described as extreme misogyny by domestic abuse charities - and concerns have been raised about the radicalisation of men and boys to copy him offline.

In a previous interview with another YouTuber, Tate said he was "absolutely a misogynist".

But he later said he was "playing a comedic character" and that his videos had been "taken out of context".
