Environmental activists stormed into a £1,000-a-head restaurant and took their places at reserved tables before being physically carried out by shocked members of staff.
The group of eight protestors entered the Knightsbridge steak restaurant owned by Salt Bae, who became an internet sensation for his technique of sprinkling salt on to his dishes.
Salt Bae's actual name is Nusret Gocke and video footage of the Animal Rebellion demonstration showed how the unwanted guests were escorted off the premises of his Nusr-Et steakhouse at around 6pm in the posh London district.

Animal Rebellion are an offshoot of climate warriors Extinction Rebellion and, explaining their motivation for the protest in a press release, the group said they are calling for "a plant-based food system and mass rewilding".
Ben Thomas - a 20-year-old student - added: "Restaurants like these are symbolic of a broken system. Whilst two million people are relying on food banks in the UK right now, influencer chefs are selling gold-plated steaks for more than £1,000. Steaks, and other red meats, that we know carry the highest environmental impacts.”
Turkish butcher and chef Salt Bae, who shared a picture on social media platforms of himself at the World Cup on Friday, has now opened branches of Nusr-Et in Turkey, Greece, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, as well as in the UK.
A Met Police statement about the Animal Rebellion incident stated: "At 6.08pm on Saturday, December 3, police were made aware of a protest at a restaurant in Knightsbridge, SW1. The group subsequently left the area and police attendance was not required."

A similar stunt was pulled at Gordon Ramsay’s three-star Michelin restaurant in Chelsea a few weeks ago.
The group have also claimed responsibility for 16 demonstrators occupying another high-brow Michelin star restaurant - Mana in Manchester - where food prices start at £195 per person.
In a post on Twitter, Animal Rebellion declared: "Whilst 2 million in the UK rely on food banks, high-end restaurants are catering to a wealthy minority."
