Frantic search for missing Scots pensioner who 'may be disorientated'

A search operation has been launched to trace a missing pensioner who 'may be disorientated'.

Thomas Duncan, 65, vanished from the Headwell Avenue area of Dunfermline in Fife at 4.45pm today. Officers investigating his disappearance say he may have become disorientated.

They have asked members of the public, including dog walkers, to keep a look out for Thomas. Locals have also been urged to check their sheds and outbuildings.

Thomas is described as white, of a medium build, around 6ft 2in, with balding grey hair. He was last seen wearing a black zipper jumper with a grey top underneath, dark coloured jeans and white trainers.

Sergeant David Bell said: “Concerns are growing for Thomas’s welfare and he may have become disorientated so we are asking anyone who has seen him or knows where he might be to get in touch. We are also asking people to keep a look out for Thomas if you walking dogs or driving in the area. Please also check gardens and sheds.”

Anyone who can help is asked to call Police Scotland immediately on 101, quoting reference number 2375 of Thursday, 1 December, 2022.
