Full list of Greggs Outlets shops that have huge discounts as it plans to open 20 more – is there one near you?

Greggs-ellent

FOOD chain Greggs has opened its 30th outlet store and has plans to open 20 more - but is your area on the list?

Greggs currently has 30 outlet stores across the UK and opened its 30th shop this week on Cundy Road in East London.

The Outlet shops were opened to support socially deprived areas, offering them cheaper food as well as being sustainable by offering unsold items.

You can pick up fan favourites like sausage rolls and steak bakes for up to 75% less than what you would pay at a normal Greggs.

Food is sent to these stores if the chain’s nearby factories have made too many batches, normal priced stores have been unable to sell all their stock, or if items are misshapen.

It means treats are sold at a discount - and customers lucky enough to live near one come in droves.

By 2025, Greggs hopes to have opened another 20 stores, taking the total count to 50 across the UK - though it was unable to tell us where it plans to open more.

It is hoping to open eight of those 20 stores next year.

Greggs Outlet stores are predominantly located in the North and Midlands, including Newcastle, Birmingham and Glasgow.

In September, The Sun visited one of Greggs' Outlet stores.

This Newcastle outlet was the first ever store of its kind set up by the bakery giant back in 1972, and it's loved by local Geordies for its cheap prices.

The best deal we spotted was on hot and cold sandwiches, which both cost £2.60 less than what they do at normal stores.

While hot sandwiches, which can usually cost £3.95, were priced at £1.35.

Of course, these could now be different and prices will vary from store-to-store and depending on the product.

Just last week, the food chain added seven new items to its festive menu including cakes and biscuits - perfect for those with a sweet tooth.

Other items on its Christmas menu include the pigs under blanket baguette, the turkey-free and stuffing baguette and of course its famous festive bake (vegan and non-vegan).
