Gino D’Acampo’s Cooking Up Love divides fans who slam ‘pure chaos’ as contestants fight over potential date

FANS of Gino D'Acampo's Cooking Up Love were left divided after they slammed "pure chaos" in the latest episode of the show.

The programme - which sees the celebrity chef try to pair up potential couples - hit boiling point tonight as two women were seen fighting it out over the same man.

Gino, 46, turned up the heat in his new cooking-focused dating show, which sees couples matched over their love of food.

Despite the singletons already being paired with a love match last night, the chef brought in a new round of potential dates.

He explained that the current pairings would be joined by a third person, with the chief singleton then picking between the two.

The show got under way and Gino instructed the groups of three what to make as they tried to impress him, and each other.

However, it quickly saw bickering break out between couples - with contestant Kevin being battled over by Justina and Alison.

The two women were seen competing and bickering through the food challenge, leaving some viewers frustrated.

But fans were left divided by the scenes, as some admitted they loved the drama - while others slammed the show as "pure chaos".

"The TV executives who came up with Gino's new cooking show have created pure chaos, none of it makes sense," one wrote to Twitter.

Another chimed in: "I hope this was a one-off show," as a third added: "This show is bloody awful. My worst nightmare."

"What an earth is going on? It's making me stressed?" a fourth said.

While a fifth hit back that they enjoyed the programme: "Gino D'Acampo's Cooking Up Love is actually hilarious."

A sixth person agreed: "I don’t think the experiment worked but was a nice change to other dating shows."

It comes after fans of Gino's new cooking show were left complaining last night - turning it off after the first ad break.

Taking to social media to share their thoughts on the new dating show, one person wrote: “Can’t watch any more - cringe TV – sorry.”

A second penned: “I lasted to the first ad break. Not even Gino can save this. Cooking Up Love Island more like.”

A handful of viewers weren’t impressed with the show’s similarity to ITV dating show Love Island.

Someone said on Twitter: “I cannot believe Gino is plumbing to these depths. It’s like Love Island.”

Gino D’Acampo believes that food is the key to finding love, his great-grandparents, grandparents, his parents, and he himself found true love through a shared love of food.

On the show, he opens the doors to his very own cookery school, where the students will meet and cook alongside each other in the hope of igniting passion in the kitchen.

As well as hopefully 'cooking up love', the students will also get the chance to venture out together on day excursions and visiting some locations across the island.

The two-part mini-series will be available to stream on ITVX.
