South Lanarkshire Council marked a campaign against gender-based violence this year.
The local authority lit up Hamilton Town House in orange on the evenings of November 25 and December 2.
The 16 Days of Action Against Gender-based Violence event takes place annually between November 25, which is the International Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls, and December 10, which is International Human Rights Day.

Two councillors sitting on the council’s cross-party working group involved in gender-based violence said they were delighted the council committed once again to lighting up the Town House orange in recognition of the campaign.
Councillor Lynsey Hamilton said: “This small gesture is part of wider work that the council does all year round against gender-based violence which is making a difference in South Lanarkshire.
"However there is still much work to be done on a local and national level to eliminate it.
“That’s why the councillors want to do as much as we can to highlight it.”
And Councillor Mary Donnelly added: “The 16-day campaign theme this year is to ask all men to step up to the plate and call it out wherever they witness violent behaviour against women or children.
“Gender inequality is still pervasive in Scotland despite primary prevention being a core objective.”
The other days during the 16-day period have been allocated to other charities who have also requested light-ups.
