I had a very flat chest so I got the DD boob implants I always dreamt of – it was the biggest mistake of my life

A WOMAN has urged people to think twice after her dream of getting bigger boobs soon turned into a nightmare.

Although in the recent years the number of patients has slowly decreased, breast augmentation remains one of the most sought-after procedures in the world, with thousands of people going under the knife.

One of those who made the decision to get implants is Rheanna Meador, from California.

But unlike many who claim to feel more confident than ever, the fitness over now spends most of her days raising awareness about BII - breast implant illness.

Since having the DD implants removed just a year after the operation, the young woman has been very vocal about her experience, which left her almost unable to leave the bed.

According to Rheanna, who shared her story on TikTok, it's not just big boobs you'll be left with after the surgery.

Though it doesn't happen to everyone, a number of people can experience a plethora of different issues, ranging from anxiety and depression to severe joint paint and hair loss, to name a few.

''If you have been thinking about getting breast implants, here is your sign to not do it,'' Rheanna shared a video of herself crying.

Just a couple of weeks after giving her chest a makeover, Rheanne's body started to reject the implants - and that was only a glimpse of what was about to follow.

''I have been barely able to get out of bed for the last five days.''

Opening up in the now-viral clip, she added: ''I have a migraine, nausea, tummy and back pains that make it hard to stand up or walk, extreme anxiety and fatigue.''

The young woman, who before the surgery used to be a ''happy, healthy and strong'' individual, was left extremely hungry, as she struggled with keeping any of the food down.

''I am only one of so many women stuck in this nightmare.

''Would give anything to have my health back.''

Since learning about her nightmare, many women have come forward sharing their stories.

One wrote: ''It is so hard & I know your pain. Had mine for almost 10 years & lived most of that time not knowing what was wrong w/ [with] me.''

Another joined the conversation: ''Had them for 7yrs before I started having issues. Mine almost killed me.

''Explanted them last July and it was the best decision I ever made!''

A third praised Rheanne for opening up: ''You’re awesome for spreading this info! Social media has normalized it so much and no one listens about BII.''
