I’ve been left traumatised after my close friend spiked my drink

NOT SO FRIENDLY

DEAR DEIDRE: WHEN my drink was spiked at my birthday party five years ago, I never imagined a close friend would be responsible.

It wasn’t until I had a catch-up with a mutual friend recently  that I realised who did it. She said she saw him put something in my drink, but  assumed I already knew.

This news has shocked me to my core, and I can’t get it off my mind.

I’ve been left traumatised and can’t understand why he would do this to me.

I’m a 31-year-old woman, this so-called friend is 35. We had been friends for seven years.

That night he was acting suspiciously, but to this day I still barely have any memories of what happened.

From the moment I drank my first drink everything became a complete blur.

Talk to your mutual friend to see if you can glean any more information about the night in question.

This incident may have happened five years ago, but it’s understandable that you still feel traumatised by losing your memory of the whole night.
