A brute punched his partner so hard he knocked the false teeth out of her mouth.
Colin McPherson also caused the woman to pass out by pressing his knee against her throat.
The 42-year-old, a prisoner, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week.

He admitted assaulting the victim at her home in Shields Court, Motherwell, on April 15.
McPherson also admitted threatening or abusive behaviour towards police officers.
The court heard he started acting aggressively around lunchtime.
Jennifer Cunningham, prosecuting, told the court: "He punched the woman, causing her false teeth to fall out.
"She fell back, hitting her head on a cabinet. McPherson then grabbed her arm and twisted it.
"He put his knee against her throat for about two minutes, she estimated.
"She believes she was falling in and out of consciousness during that time.
"Eventually she managed to get away and leave the room.
"She went into a bedroom and tried to shut the door, but McPherson followed her in and continued to act aggresively.
"He then left the bedroom and she took the opportunity to get out of the property.
"There was a police car in the street. When officers tried to speak to McPherson he was immediately hostile.
"It was clear that a disturbance had taken place. A set of false teeth with blood on them was found."
The victim had blood on her nose and in her mouth as well as a bloodshot eye, bruising and redness on her neck.
However, she declined medical treatment.
The couple had been together for a year at the time of the assault, but the court heard the relationship is over.
McPherson plans to live in The Village, Cumbernauld, on his release from prison.
Defence agent Roberto Manini conceded he has a "lengthy" criminal record that includes convictions for domestic abuse.
The solicitor stated: "He is still dealing with the trauma of his brother's death in 2002.
"He tends to spiral downwards in respect of alcohol and valium and has no recollection whatsoever of this incident.
"He realises he needs assistance to get to the root of his problems."
Sheriff Thomas Millar deferred sentence until next month for a criminal justice social work report and remanded McPherson in custody.
