Love Island’s Davide admits ‘struggles’ with Ekin-Su as he reveals what he would change about their relationship

LOVE Island hunk Davide Sanclimenti has candidly opened up on his "struggles" with partner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu in an exclusive chat with The Sun Online.

The Italian businessman and boohooMAN ambassador, 28, won Love Island's 2022 series with stunning actress Ekin-Su, also 28.

Following their show victory - and scooping the £50,000 Love Island prize - Ekin said at the time: "It feels so surreal finding the man of your dreams and just growing."

Davide has now exclusively told The Sun of their relationship niggles on the outside world.

He told us in a YouTube clip: "Me and Ekin-Su had our struggles due to our public positions and we still have them sometimes.

"If there's something that I would change or would have done differently [with Ekin-Su in the villa] maybe I would have taken things a bit more slowly."

Yet offering a heart-warming insight into their lives, he told us: "The best thing about dating Ekin Su is that we understand each other - not just because we are literally the same person.

"She is my copy-paste.

"Also because we come from the same experience and the same background.

"She met my family and fortunately all my parents love her and Ekin Su's family love me.

"It's been a good match also from our families' point of view."

Previously the Turkish singer went bra-free as she stunned in a recent snap.

It came following a rocky patch for the pair centred around cheating rumours surrounding her man.

The couple's relationship appeared to go from strength-to-strength outside of the villa, but they suddenly hit a blip earlier this month.

It came when Davide was accused of sleeping with model Harriet Wilson.

Yet it appears their love is now firmly back on track - with the pair recently spotted on a loved-up holiday to Ibiza.

Recently, Davide also exclusively told The Sun of a huge security breach in the Mallorca villa.

He was first to spill to The Sun of the nail-biting incident in the Spanish compound.

While some contestants jetted off to South Africa for a winter series in 2023, this summer's Love Island is being filmed in the same luxurious Majorcan villa that the 2022 contestants lived in.

When talking of his biggest villa secret, Davide told us: "The best villa secret was the night I entered the villa.

"Someone was trying to sneak in to steal all of the equipment from the crew."

Love Island bosses were previously forced to step up security in the villa after an intruder in 2021.

A spokesperson for ITV told The Sun: "There is round the clock, wide security coverage at the villa site and the Islanders protection and safety is our top priority."
