A man arrested in connection with the death of a man in Renton has now been charged, police have said.
Charles Wilson, known locally as Chic, was found dead inside the Tontine Park property on the morning of Saturday, March 25.
Emergency services were called to a fire in the flat at around 7am. After the blaze was extinguished, Chic's body was discovered inside a bedroom.
Following a post-mortem examination police revealed they were treating the death as murder. A major probe has been launched and top detectives from Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team are leading the case.
On Saturday morning, Police Scotland said a 42-year-old man arrested on Friday has since been charged in connection with the death and is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday, April 3.
