Man Utd handed huge transfer boost as ‘TWO top targets want to join’ as Erik ten Hag strengthens squad for title push

MANCHESTER UNITED have been handed a huge transfer boost as TWO top targets are reportedly interested in joining the club.

Manager Erik ten Hag is keen on mounting a charge for the Premier League title next season but knows he needs a stronger squad to compete with rivals Man City.

The Dutchman wants to improve his striker and centre-back options as a priority this summer transfer window.

Man United have been linked with Tottenham's Harry Kane, but there is also an interest in signing a younger striker to provide competition.

Now Atalanta star Rasmus Hojlund is keen on joining the club, according to the Mirror.

The Dane has enjoyed a breakout year in Serie A with the Bergamo side by netting nine goals in 32 league appearances.

He is already a fully-fledged international and has scored five goals in his first four games for his national side.

It is thought that a bid of £43million would be enough to convince the Italian outfit to cash in on the striker that cost them just £14m to buy from Austrian side Strum Graz last summer.

Hojlund has previously admitted to being a "huge fan" of the Red Devils.

The report also claimed that defensive target Axel Disasi is keen on switching to Old Trafford.

The AS Monaco and France defender is said to have made United aware of his desire to the club.

He featured for his national side in the World Cup final in Qatar, however, suffered defeat at the hands of Lionel Messi's Argentina.

Disasi could be viewed as an alternative to South Korean ace Kim-min Jae who is also gaining interest from Newcastle.

The Napoli defender is another top target for United after helping his side to the Serie A title last season.
