Michelle Rodriguez had to gain 15lbs of muscle for 'rough' Dungeons & Dragons filming

Michelle Rodriquez detailed her strict regime to prepare for her role in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves as she opened up on the new movie at its London premiere.

In an exclusive interview with Mirror on the red carpet, the Fast and Furious star revealed she was had to gain 15lbs of muscle to play Holga the Barbarian.

On the red carpet at Cineworld Leicester Square in London, she said: "I have never had that much discipline in my entire life.

"I had to train for three months before, gain 15lbs of muscle and then it’s another five months of maintaining that muscle."

Explaining her routine, she continued: "Five days a week, weight lifting, fight training, choreography, it was rough.

"We did all of that during the pandemic in Northern Ireland if that’s not a labour of love [I don't know what is]."

Hugh Grant, Chris Pine and Regé-Jean Page star alongside Michelle as Forge Fitzwilliam the Rogue Edgin the Bard and Xenk the Paladin respectively.

Speaking about her cast mates, Michelle joked that Hugh has a "sword tongue" while Chris "never stops".

"I mean he even needs to be acting with a monologue or he’s goofing off until we’re acting with a monologue," the actress added about the Don't Worry Darling star.

At the Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves London premiere, Michelle wore a black off-the-shoulder satin gown with a sparkling diamond necklace and silver heels.

Bridgerton star Regé went shirtless beneath his smart charcoal suit and added a simple silver chain to complete his look.

Hugh was joined on the red carpet by wife Anna Elisabet Eberstein.

Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, is based on the hit table-top game of the same name and is set to be released on March 31.

The movie tells the story of a charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers, who embark on an epic quest to retrieve a long lost relic, but their charming adventure goes dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people.

Production began in April 2021 and wrapped in August of the same year, with filming taking place in Iceland and Ireland.
