Newlyweds Rita Ora and hubby Taika Waititi try beekeeping on romantic mini-moon

NEWLY married Rita Ora was whisked away on a mini-moon by her filmmaker hubby Taika Waititi.

The Anywhere singer, who tied the knot with the hunky Kiwi in the summer, flew to New Zealand to meet him, where he took her by chopper on a romantic trip to a romantic villa on the nearby stunning Waiheke Island.

The smitten couple headed to a secluded holiday lodge where Oscar winner Taika had arranged for a special reunion after spending weeks apart since their wedding while he had been filming Our Flag Means Death, in Auckland

He booked a lavish £500-a-night cabin called Villa Joy to share with his new wife, boasting panoramic views of the ocean and nestled among a stunning vineyard.

Villa owner Silmara Scholt said: “Taika requested to have a really romantic set-up for her so we went out of our way to get things for the villa.

“They weren’t things we would normally have.”

Among the special supplies was a pink bath bomb from Lush, which Rita used to set up a series of nude photographs in the oversize tub, which overlooks a remote beach on Waiheke’s southern shore.

One local revealed: “They left the blinds open so they had a great view of Woodside Bay and there are a few houses down there so anyone in the paddocks or their gardens would have had a lovely view of Rita and Taika.

“But mostly it’s just horses out there so hopefully it was all private.”

Rita and Taika also found time to get an introduction to beekeeping, posing for pictures with beekeeper Richard ’Sticky Ricky’ Evatt and visiting several island restaurants.

Rita recently opened up about her romance gushing: “I’m in love. I’m very much in love. I’m in love, I’m in love, amen!

“But I love love as well. I’ve always been such a believer in it and I’ve always felt like I always wanted the fairytale and that’s what I grew up loving.

“My parents have been together for over 30 years, so for me it was always about love and finding a partner and all that, so I’m really happy I did.

“I made that choice. It made me happy and I love Taika. He’s so funny and lovely.”

I think you made a great choice, Rita…

Party's over for Beckhams

AFTER months of speculation, Victoria and David Beckham did their best to quash rumours of a feud with their daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz at Paris Fashion Week.

They appeared to be working with son Brooklyn and his new wife to present a united front at Posh’s show, but things seemed to sour just after the final model left the catwalk.

The family all split up to party elsewhere, with only Harper opting to stay with her parents.

Romeo joined Cruz and his girlfriend Tana Holding to spend the night away from watching parental eyes, and the newlyweds headed off alone.

It seems everything isn’t quite as rosy as they tried to make it look.
Maybe they’ll have better luck at Christmas.

Adele's weekend with Vegas chiefs

THE countdown is on for Adele's long-awaited Las Vegas shows – and I can reveal the singer was Sin City on Friday to prepare for them.

The Easy On Me hitmaker met with Caesars Palace bosses to cement the finer details of her Weekends With Adele residency at The Colosseum and watch Rod Stewart perform at the same venue.

An insider tells me: “Adele and the execs are staying in close communication in the run-up to the launch in November to make sure she is happy with the set-up.

“After January’s gigs being cancelled at the eleventh hour they want to make sure this time it goes without a hitch.”

There are still ticket and hotel packages available which bosses are keen to shift.

Speaking in August, Adele said cancelling the Vegas shows was “the worst moment in my career by far”.

Let’s hope it all goes smoothly this time.

Yungblud's acting dreams slashed

YUNGBLUD says his big acting debut is on hold after the upcoming Boy George film Karma Chameleon was canned.

The singer, who had the lead role, said: “I was all ready to play the part but I think the brakes have been put on it, which is a shame because I am ready to play it and I think it would make an incredible film.”

But the setback has not exactly dented Yungblud’s ambition.

He added: “I want to be in films, I want to do the West End, I want to do Broadway. I want to do it all.”

Shak deal in the bag

IT’S been a rollercoaster year for Shakira.

First, she split from her long-term fella, Barcelona footballer Gerard Pique, then last week it emerged she will stand trial in Spain over an alleged £13million tax fraud.

But the good news for the Colombian singer is that she has landed a lucrative deal promoting Burberry’s iconic Lola handbag.

It comes after her ex began dating lookalike student Clara Chia Marti soon after their split.

A source said: “This is a huge coup for Shakira and demonstrates a massive comeback for her in the wake of the break-up.”

Ed's in fine shape

WE might be in a cost of living crisis but Ed Sheeran could pay his bills many times over – on just his daily earnings.

The Shape Of You singer made £93k a day last year according to his accounts for Ed Sheeran Limited.

And that doesn’t include his touring or live appearance fees, which are paid into a different company.

That means he made £34.2million from his tracks alone. So while he’s now facing another copyright battle, win or lose, I don’t think he’ll be strapped for cash.

Nick in mac attack

DIY SOS host Nick Knowles is in a Twitter spat with McDonald’s after finding its milkshakes unavailable nine times in four months.

He fumed at Maccy D: “How come so many of your milkshake machines in the uk are not working?

Is your business going under and can’t you afford the upkeep or renewal? Can’t you afford the ingredients?

“One or two would be unusual – 9 from Leeds to Cornwall over the last few weeks is odd.”

As celebrity rants go, this one certainly has bite . . .

Alissic pushes at horizon

BRAZIL-born Alissic brought her eccentric and boundary-pushing music to London last week with a captivating showcase performance.

Opening with Everybody’s Dead Inside, a song combining haunting lyrics with a Noughties pop-rock aesthetic, the wife of Bring Me To The Horizon singer Oli Sykes cast a spell over the audience.

With the hypnotic stage presence similar to Crystal Castles' Alice Glass and Bjork, Alissic struck the perfect balance between avant-pop and catchy hooks.

By the end of closing song Like it was clear that Alissic is a refreshingly unique artist.

Speaking afterwards she revealed: “My husband has helped with writing. He’s a great lyricist so it feels like it’s amazing to have him, and he has really good taste.”

Clearly.
