Pregnant Ferne McCann shares relief at hearing baby’s heartbeat after suffering a miscarriage

PREGNANT Ferne McCann has spoken her sheer relief at hearing her unborn baby's heartbeat for the first time.

Ferne suffered a devastating miscarriage last year and she is now expecting another child with her fiancé Lorri Haines.

In the latest episode of her reality show, Ferne McCann: First Time Mum, Ferne and Lorri were seen going for their first scan.

The former Towie star, 32, explained: "I am so glad that Lorri is here with me.

"After everything that's happened before, I just need to hear that heartbeat and know that the baby is healthy."

Ferne and Lorri were welcomed into the private ultrasound room by a sonographer.

But while laying on the couch, several tense moments past before the couple got to see and hear their unborn child for the first time.

Anxious Ferne even asked the lady: "Can you see a baby?"

In cutaway footage, she added: "Oh my god, this feels like it is taking forever. I just want to hear the heartbeat."

Thankfully, the sonographer confirmed that all was looking healthy with Ferne and Lorri's baby.

Listening to the heartbeat intently, Ferne said to her man: "That's mad, that is happening right now. It is such a relief hearing the healthy heartbeat, it's like music to my ears."

Ferne revealed during last week's episode of the ITVBe reality show that she and Lorri had experienced a miscarriage early into a pregnancy.

The pair were seen at a couples' counselling session when Ferne told the therapist: "Very early on, I, I ummm, we had, we had a miscarriage as well."

She told the cameras: "I was five weeks and I started bleeding. I was devastated."

Ferne explained how she had scoured the internet looking for reassurance that she wasn't losing her baby.

Sadly, she quickly came to the realisation that she was having an early miscarriage.

Ferne added: "I was really, really upset. I think Lorri found it really hard to comprehend."

The star is already mum to five-year-old daughter Sunday, who she had with her ex Arthur Collins. Lorri also has a son from a previous relationship.

Thankfully, by the end of the show, the couple had confirmed they are expecting another baby together.
