Teenager rushed to hospital after 'stabbing by gang of ten other boys'

A teen has been rushed to hospital after he was attacked by a group of ten other young men and reportedly "stabbed".

Police are hunting the suspects who set upon a 17-year-old in Wade Street, St Jude's, just after 8pm on Saturday, September 30.

The victim told officers how he was attacked by a group of around ten other boys and then sought refuge at a friend's home in John Cozens House, a block of flats just next to the A420 Stapleton Road, reports Bristol Live.

He was taken to hospital with his injuries but they are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police have now launched a probe to find the perpetrators behind the incident.

Paramedics arrived first on the scene at the flat in John Cozens House just after 8pm and called police when they found the youth with suspected stab wounds.

A police cordon was placed around the scene and forensic investigators were seen arriving after 9pm.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police told Bristol Live: "A teenage boy has gone to hospital with injuries which are thankfully not believed to be life-threatening after an assault in Wade Street, Bristol, near John Cozens House.

"Police were called by the ambulance service just after 8.15pm on Saturday 30 September.

"A boy, 17, has gone to hospital for treatment to suspected stab wounds. He said he was attacked by a group of about 10 other boys and sought refuge at a friend's home in the block. Officers are making enquiries at the scene and searching the area for the offenders.
