An Uber driver was shot after refusing to take a customer to another location, it is reported.
Driver Daniel Teheri dropped off two men and two women at a Shell station on Quitman Street in Texas just after 10pm on Sunday when one of the passengers demanded to be driven to another address.
According to police, the Uber driver was held at gunpoint after he refused to drive the passengers.
He was then allegedly ordered to exit the car and leave his keys and mobile phone behind.
When Mr Teheri said he wouldn't get out the car, shots were fired, it is reported.
The cabbie's sister, Ensi Teheri, claimed if he hadn't moved at the last second the bullet would have gone into his vital organs.

ABC13)She told ABC13 : "They couldn't find a bullet on him. I think it went in angled. I think it went inside, probably, the seat of the car."
The four passengers all fled the scene and left the Uber driver's car at the petrol station.
Mr Teheri's injuries needed hospital treatment as he was left with a deep gunshot wound which required stitches along with fluids and a blood transfusion, according to his sister.
Ensi said that, as her brother recovers at home, she has been encouraging him to find another job.

ABC13)Uber issued a statement which said they are working with authorities to find the rider.
It said: "There is no place for violence on the Uber platform, and what this driver experienced is truly atrocious.
"We're working to get in touch with the driver to check in on their well-being and offer our support, and have banned the rider account from the platform. We stand ready to assist police however we can."

ABC13)Uber confirmed Ride Check was activated, which checks in on drivers and passengers during unexpected lengthy stops.
However, Mr Teheri believes the safety feature isn't enough to help drivers as he criticised the gun violence in Texas.
He said: "It's something that I think definitely needs to be controlled. Everybody has access to a gun, and it's not something that's right."
Police have contacted the petrol station for any CCTV which might help them in their investigation as they hunt for the suspect.
