Westlife's Mark Feehily is 'going bonkers' missing tour as he shares health update

Westlife star Mark Feehily has been going 'bonkers' being away from the tour as he shared an update from his doctor.

The singer had to take time off Westlife's The Wild Dreams tour after falling ill with pneumonia.

His Irish bandmates made sure to pay tribute to the star and get him virtually involved with sweet chants and tributes.

As he sits at home and recovers, the 42-year-old took to Instagram to share a quick update with worried fans.

"Hey Everybody - just dropping in to say HI and a big thanks for all the GWS messages!" he captioned the post.

"I’m doing good just sticking to the doctors plan, I’m slowly going bonkers being away from the tour and just staying in bed all day but I want to be back on stage asap and the doc is telling me to be patient & recover 100% so I can move on and put it all behind me.

"Lots of love to you all. Hope to see you soon."

In the video, he was seen looking miserable in bed before the clips changed to him on stage performing for thousands of people.

He added his song, Miss You Most, on top of the short video.

Fans and friends were missing him and took to the comment section to wish him well in his recovery journey.

"Aww Mark!!! I hope you are feeling better soon!!!" Nadine Coyle wrote while Kian Egan added: "It won’t be long Markie… "

One fan posted: "Westlife is not the same without you. Get well soon, Mark."

"Oh Markey. We miss you too! Rest up and we’ll see you hitting those high notes again soon!!!" a lovely fan added.

The rest of the band, which is made up of Shane Filan, Kian Egan and Nicky Byrne – after Brian McFadden quit in 2004 – have continued to perform and paid tribute to Mark in his absence.

During their Newcastle gig, the group posed with a sign which had Mark followed by three red hearts painted on.

And, in Sheffield, Kian filmed the crowd saying: "Mark we miss you, Mark we love you".

Furthermore, at their gig in Liverpool, fans were seen singing Mark's section in their hit song Flying Without Wings.

In a video shared by Kian, the crowd were singing Mark's verse as the group stood on stage while Mark held a microphone up to a cardboard cutout of the absent singer.
