Woman shares £1 hack for cleaning mirrors that stops them fogging up

A lifestyle influencer has revealed how you can quickly clean your bathroom mirrors and even prevent them from fogging or smudging in the future.

No matter how often you clean your mirrors, it's often not long before fingerprints and dust start to gather again, making them look grubby and uncared for.

Not to mention the layer of fog that covers them after you have a shower or bath, which sticks around for ages unless you tackle it with a cloth.

However, one woman says using one simple ingredient will stop the mist from clinging to the mirror, keeping it clear and shiny even after having used hot water.

Content creator Chantel, also known as @mama_mila_ on TikTok, is known for sharing helpful cleaning and organising hacks that help you stay on top of the housework.

One of her most recent videos is about some bathroom cleaning tips that save time and promise to "change the way you clean".

And one of the hacks is to use shaving foam on your bathroom mirror to keep it l ooking in prime condition, even after you've ha a hot shower or bath.

In the video, she explained: "If you have hazy mirrors, buff a small amount of shaving cream onto them to make them shine and prevent fogging."

A bottle of shaving cream costs just £1 from Wilko and Tesco, and because you only need to use a small amount, one bottle will last you plenty of scrubs.

The other tips included in Chantel's video were to mix white vinegar with dish soap and put it in a dishwashing brush, using that to scrub down all the bathroom surfaces.

And the final tip was to remove the shower seal and scrub inside it using the same brush, which is effective at removing dirt and mildew.

"My favourite way", someone said, while another commented: "Great stuff, thanks for that!"

Others were shocked at the fact you could get right into the shower seal and clean it, with one saying: "I'm sorry that thingie under the shower door has a name and it comes off??!!"
