HONG KONG, June 17 (Xinhua) -- China's women's volleyball team suffered their first defeat in the FIVB Women's Nations League this season, falling to Poland in straight sets here on Saturday.

Both teams entered the campaign strongly, with China being unbeaten until Saturday's match, while Poland had notched six victories in seven games.

Poland took control of the first set, with China managing to catch up only briefly before conceding a 25-20 loss.

The second set played out like a reflection of the first, with Poland maintaining dominance and doubling their lead with a 25-23 win.

In the third set, China had established a 10-7 lead, but Poland relied on superior attacking and blocking to secure a 24-20 lead. Despite China saving two set points, Olivia Rozanski clinched the win with a decisive spike.
