Foreigners robbed at Otjiwarongo

Three foreign nationals aged between 28 and 42 were allegedly robbed at Otjiwarongo in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The police reported the armed robbery, housebreaking and theft, alleging that four unknown suspects broke the windows and gained entrance to the house in which the foreigners were residing.

They tied them up with shoelaces and covered them with blankets, they were armed with two pistols and had ski masks on.

“No serious injuries were sustained except for bruises,” said police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi.
The suspects got away with cash of N$60 000 and phones valued at N$80 000.

Meanwhile, the police are requesting the public’s assistance to apprehend the suspects but warned the public not to attempt to approach them.
