Kirstie Alley, who died on Monday, will reportedly be cremated.
The “Cheers” actress, a longtime Church of Scientology member, also is expected to have a memorial service at the organization’s Flag Building at its headquarters in Clearwater, Florida, according to the Daily Mail.
The Post has reached out for comment from representatives for the church and Alley, who was 71 when she passed following a short fight with colon cancer.
Alley’s children announced her death in a tweet on her official Twitter account.
“We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered,” the statement said.
The children said in their statement that Alley was “surrounded by her closest family” at the time of her passing and that she “fought with great strength.”
“Our mother’s zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating, were unparalleled and leave us inspired to live life to the fullest just as she did,” the announcement continued.
Her “Dancing With the Stars” partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy also penned a tribute to the late actress.
“My dearest Kirstie,” the pro dancer started the post alongside a photo of the pair on the show. “We haven’t spoken lately and I’ll tell you everything when I finally see you, but for now I want to say that I love you very much and I wish you the most peaceful rest,” he wrote of Alley, who danced with Chmerkovskiy in Seasons 15 and 12.
“You were one of the most unique people I have ever met and easily one of the brightest moments of my personal and professional life,” he added of Alley, with whom he had a complicated — and at times fractious — friendship over the years.
Alley’s final television appearance aired in April on Fox’s “The Masked Singer,” just over seven months before her death.
