Teresa Giudice sure did bring some Jersey to The Drew Barrymore Show. During today’s episode, Drew Barrymore somehow convinced the RHONJ star to ditch her “namaste” attitude for a few moments to recreate one of her most iconic scenes from the hit Bravo show.
While speaking about Giudice’s best memories since joining the reality series in 2009 — such as her stint on the most recent season of Dancing with the Stars and becoming a four-time New York Times bestselling author — Barrymore couldn’t help but point out, “I also like that you flip tables because I told you, I got that angel and that devil on each shoulder.”
If you recall (which, how could you not?), Giudice lost her temper on her former castmate Danielle Staub during the show’s first season, resulting in the historic table flip seen ’round the world.
However, according to Giudice, she isn’t as unhinged in real life as her 13 seasons on RHONJ have made her out to be.
“I’m trying to work on myself because everyone thinks I’m this mean person from being on the show. I’m like, I’m so not,” she said, directing people to her Namaste Bitches podcast. “I’m so easygoing. And I go with the flow and I like to have fun.”
Meanwhile, Barrymore noted that her show has been “going for the big moments,” before adding, “I don’t think they would love you sitting around being a nice quiet person. That’s not what the show is.”
After Barrymore replayed the infamous clip for the audience, she revealed she likes a “good drink in the face” — something Giudice claimed she’s never done. Besides, of course, when she threw multiple drinks in Margaret Josephs’ direction last season. Or tossed a filled Red Solo Cup at a cameraman which also sprayed all over Dolores Catania after being confronted about encouraging Staub to pull Josephs’s hair.
Anyway, I digress.
While Barrymore and Giudice sat at their own tables, the talk show host asked for some table-flipping advice, to which the reality star replied, “Think about something that makes you really, really angry. Like if your boyfriend cheated on you or if a girlfriend betrayed you.”
She continued, “And then grab the table and hold onto it. And on the count of three…”
At the same time, the ladies flipped their tables as they yelled Giudice’s legendary quote, “You were engaged 19 times, you stupid bitch!”
