It’s been said that diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but Tiffany & Co. decided to leave the glam and glitz behind for its latest, buzz-generating collab with Nike on its soon-to-be-launched sneaker.
Though you won’t find diamonds on the sneaker (ha, if only), you’ll find the classic Nike look with the traditional Tiffany hue that’ll have you pre-ordering and sporting this chic pair all around town.
The sneakers are expected to launch on March 7, though official images were leaked on social media the weekend of Jan. 28 and, instead of calling their crisis communications unit, both brands rolled with it and posted the Tiffany blue sneaker box on Sunday.
Tiffany & Co. broke new records with this much-anticipated collab, as the household brand has never partnered with a shoe company. So, as you’re running to the Park Avenue jeweler, you can literally be running with this fresh new pair.
The check-embossed shoe still pays homage to Nike’s fan-favorite style, but with that tiffany blue-inspired twist. When it comes to spending money on luxury, this dynamic duo has you well-equipped to spend your precious coin on something alluring.
Despite the fact that Tiffany & Co. has no plans to dive away from the diamonds, this is a big moment for the brand. Does this collab mean Tiffany & Co. will be exploring partnerships in the fashion space? Perhaps, and this is a pretty hefty start, if the case, though there hasn’t been a formal announcement declaring any future ventures.
The sneakers are slated to retail at $400 — nearly $300 more than Nike’s best-selling Air Forces — and have a unisex appeal to make them a top-of-the-line gift for anyone on your list (including yourself).
How to buy? Once available on March 7, you can snag a pair for yourself at two of Nike’s flagship stores, select Nike retailers and via the Nike SNKRS app. But, with any buzzy new launch, they’re expected to sell out rather quickly so grab them ASAP.
To help ease your shopping itch, you can grab a pair of the Nike SB Dunk High PRM “Diamond Supply Co. — Tiffany” Sneakers ($755 and up), which have a more pronounced tiffany-inspired color, but these are not apart of the official spring collab.
Nike and Tiffany & Co. have yet to announce an official pre-order date, if any, but be sure to bookmark this page and follow Nike’s website as March 7 draws near.
