Luann de Lesseps confirms ‘RHONY: Legacy’ negotiations have ‘stalled’

Money can’t buy you a TV show, apparently.

Luann de Lesseps has confirmed that “Real Housewives of New York City: Legacy” is currently dead in the water.

After Page Six revealed that Bravo had scrapped the highly anticipated “RHONY” spinoff show starring several OGs, including de Lesseps, the former countess told People on Tuesday that “negotiations have stalled on the series.”

“For the moment, it’s not going anywhere,” the cabaret singer told the outlet.

On Sunday, we reported that contract talks for the version of the treasured reality show had stalled over salaries, with sources close to the talent telling us the network was low-balling them, while production insiders slammed the ladies for believing “they should make what the cast of ‘Friends’ made in their heyday.”

By Monday evening, Bravo had rescinded its offers and pulled the plug on the project as everyone knew it.

But sources stressed to us that the network “never says never,” noting that “RHONY: Legacy” could be revived in some form in the future.

De Lesseps is convinced of that, too.

“I always said, ‘Never count out the Countess,’ but in this case, it’s, ‘Never count out the New York City Housewives,'” she told People, adding that Bravo’s decision “doesn’t mean the show is over for good.”

The “Money Can’t Buy You Class” hitmaker, 57, went on to say that she has “no doubt” the network will “find a way to bring the OG’s and beloved New York City Housewives back together again.

“It may be not right now, but I have faith in Bravo and trust that they’re going to create something really spectacular that the fans will love in the near future.”

The Bravolebrity, who appeared on “RHONY” from Seasons 1 to 13, acknowledged that “sometimes in life, a pause is needed.”

Despite pulling the plug on “Legacy,” the network is still forging ahead with the completely revamped “RHONY,” which will star a brand-new, ethnically diverse set of women when Season 14 premieres.

“They’re breathing new life into ‘RHONY’ right now,” de Lesseps said of the updated program, going on to call Bravo “a genius at reinventing the wheel.”
