A training jet crashed on Monday, killing two people in the west of Tehran, the capital of Iran, a local media outlet reported.
The plane’s pilot and a university student were on board when the Tecnam aircraft crashed in the Karaj province, the Fars News Agency reported.
The report said that although no additional information was given on the incident’s cause, an investigation was already underway.
Earlier, a helicopter with Iranian sports minister Hamid Sajjadi crashed in Baft, in the southern province of Kerman, Iran.
According to officials, the crash occurred when an adviser to the Iranian sports minister was killed, and 12 others were injured.
The incident occurred after the chopper touched down close to a sports centre in Baft, Kerman province, in the country’s southern region.
