Over the course of 12 nights, Dikir Syarafil Anam ceremonies were held nationwide to mark Maulidur Rasul, the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) which culminated with the closing ceremony yesterday.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and spouse were present at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque for the dikir ceremony.
The ceremony was held to glorify mosques and foster ties among officers and staff at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and departments under it as well as mosque congregants and villagers.
Also present were Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan and spouse; Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Lawi bin Haji Lamat, Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, Ra’es of Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar and Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Haji Hardifadhillah bin Haji Mohd Salleh.
There was also a talk on ‘Rasulullah Diutus Sebagai Pembawa Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamiin’ by Religious Development Officer and Assistant Head of Dakwah Propagation Division (Religious Talk) at Islamic Da’wah Centre Haji Muskrisman Safari bin Haji Mustapa.
The event continued with Dikir and Doa Dikir recited by Mosque Officer Begawan Mudim Haji Amran bin Haji Mohd Salleh, followed by Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam by Mosque Officer Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Emran bin Haji Kunchang.
Meanwhile, in the Belait District, the ceremony was held at the RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Acting Belait District Officer Awangku Arif Anuar bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad, followed by the recitation of Dikir Assalamu’alaika, Dikir Syarafil Anam, and Doa Dikir led by Mosque Affairs Officer at the RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque Abdul Qayyuum bin Haji Aminuddin.
Head of Religious Officer from the Belait District Religious Affairs Office Mohamad Aliyani bin Ismail, mukim penghulu, village heads, as well as officers and staff members from government agencies and departments in the Belait District were also present. – Azlan Othman & Daniel Lim
