In marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) held 12 nightly Dikir Maulud at the university mosque through the Quranic Journey: Tadabbur Al-Quran session which outlined the national celebration’s theme ‘Sunnah Dihayati, Hidup Diberkati’ through the sharing of stories in Al-Quran by Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Centre for Islamic Studies, UBD lecturer Dr Khalil Ahmad.
Acting Vice-Chancellor of UBD Associate Professor Pengiran Dr Mohammad Iskandar bin Pengiran Haji Petra was the guest of honour. Core officers, lecturers, officers, staff and UBD students and the public also attended.
The Tadabbur Al-Quran session was also shared live online on Microsoft Teams.
The event is jointly managed by the Spirituality and Community Service Unit, Student Affairs Division, UBD together with the UBD Religious Committee and also the UBD Students Association. – Azlan Othman
