Women’s Bureau marks Maulidur Rasul

Forty members of the Women’s Bureau of the Kampong Sengkurong ‘B’ Village Consultative Council (MPK Sengkurong ‘B’) through its Executive Committee held a Maulidur Rasul celebration yesterday.

The ceremony took place at Baitul-Mal Religious Hall in Kampong Selayun Sengkurong ‘B’ in Mukim Sengkurong.

The closing ceremony was to mark the celebration which was carried out since September 18 for 12 consecutive nights.

The closing ceremony this year also coincided with the Doa Peperiksaan for the Women’s Bureau family members who will be taking their examinations this year, as well as an appreciation ceremony to celebrate members who have reached the age of 70.

Advisor of the Women’s Bureau of MPK Sengkurong ‘B’ Datin Hajah Rohanie binti Haji Ahmad was the guest of honour.

The ceremony commenced with Sayyidul Istighfar and Selawat Tafrijiyyah led by Hajah Rosnah binti Haji Tamin followed with welcoming address by Deputy Chairperson of the Women’s Bureau of MPK Sengkurong ‘B’ Hajah Azizah binti Haji Mirasan.

Hajah Azizah shared that the ceremony was held to enliven the Maulidur Rasul celebration while at the same time to seek blessings from Allah the Almighty. She also shared on the advantages of celebrating Maulidur Rasul. The ceremony continued with with Dikir and Tausyeh perfromances followed with Doa Dikir read by Hajah Rahimah binti Abas, while the Doa Peperiksaan was read by Nazirah binti Azizan.

A presentation of souvenirs and certificates for members who reached the age of 70 was handed over by Datin Hajah Rohanie.

The ceremony concluded with Doa Selamat.

The ceremony aimed to commemorate the journey of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in spreading and honouring the teaching of Islam and to express a sense of love towards the Prophet (pbuh). – Rokiah Mahmud
