Karan Johar hinted at teaming up again with Kartik Aaryan despite their alleged fallout over Dostana 2.
Filmmaker Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan's fallout after Dostana 2 has grabbed enough headlines. After the much-talked-about differences between Karan and Kartik, will they ever work together again? While conducting a session with fans, Karan opened up about the possibility of him reuniting with Kartik.
As per a Pinkvilla report, Karan said, "Kartik and I nearly made a film and then for various reasons it couldn't happen. But you never say never. And I am sure the future holds something very strong for both of us." The filmmaker continued, "We don't know about Dostana but we'll make something, and that film will hopefully be defining for both of us." Karan further added, "I just hope we can collaborate very soon and on a film that we're both equally excited about."
About Karan and Kartik's fallout with Dostana 2
For the unversed, news of Kartik Aaryan getting ousted from Karan Johar-produced Dostana 2 surfaced last year. Later, Dharma Productions announced that they will be recasting Dostana 2 due to professional circumstances, and creative differences. However, both Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan refrained from saying anything on the matter.
As per the media reports, Karan had removed Kartik from the film because of his unprofessional behaviour. The reports also suggested that he had an ugly fight with co-star Janhvi Kapoor because of which their friendship ended in January, and they were not on talking terms. However, there is no official confirmation about the same. Reportedly Dostana 2 is shelved.
Kartik to appear on Koffee With Karan 8?
As per a report of News18, a source closer to the show informed that Kartik Aryan is most likely to appear as one of the guests on Koffee With Karan Season 8. If Kartik appears on the show, it will put an end to the alleged fallout between the two that took place after Kartik was ousted from Karan's Dostana 2.
