This the Prime Minister (PM) Dr Moeketsi Majoro announced on Monday night in a televised speech.

He has also effectively moved the country from blue to green colour under the COVID-19 Risk Determination Framework.

“Having considered COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations in the last few months, [the] Cabinet has today decided that Lesotho shall move [from] blue to green [colour] under its COVID-19 Risk Determination Framework. This means that all COVID-19 restrictions are now removed as of midnight tonight [Monday],” he said.

Also, he said the wearing of the masks is no longer mandatory but it is recommended that people may take precautionary measures especially when in densely populated areas.

Dr Majoro said all the restrictions imposed on the social gatherings have been summarily lifted.
