MASERU – The Corporate Challenge, known for its ability to test team playing amongst colleagues from different organizations outside of their working environments and offices returned for the season by popular demand.
Since its inception in 2013, the Corporate Challenge became famous for being one of the largest team-building events in Lesotho which promote a healthy lifestyle, fitness, and fostering friendly competition. Organized by Black Mix Lesotho, corporates and companies of different kinds in the country are invited to participate. This year’s annual challenge which marks the 9th edition will take place on October 13th at Maseru Mall.
The Corporate Challenge Event is a team-building exercise designed to disrupt the dullness caused by usual office routine, offer networking opportunities with other corporates, boost company morale and promotes fitness and health. It is an annual team building event that is designed to promote fitness, health and networking opportunities among cooperates in a relaxed environment. Another aim is to find out which Lesotho’s fittest organisation is. Each member of participating teams has to complete an obstacle course in the shortest possible time. The team with the shortest time on the course will take home the Corporate Challenge trophy.
The event Director, Manisha Black promised this year’s event to deliver an unforgettable experience, which will be bigger and better than ever before. “This year, we have an array of mind-boggling obstacles and adrenaline-pumping activities in store for you. From mental puzzles that will challenge your strategic acumen to physical challenges that will push your limits. She added that the meticulously crafted games will have participants on the edge of their seats, eagerly fighting for the championship title.
The 2023 edition is also set to feature approximately 19 obstacles catering to various levels of fitness, ranging from easy to difficult. Covering a distance of approximately 2.97 km, participants are advised to come prepared with their oldest, most comfortable sneakers, as mud will remain a core element of the event.
Since its inception in 2013, the Corporate Challenge has experienced remarkable growth, with the number of participants increasing from 300 to almost 700. Representatives from over 100 corporates and organizations across Lesotho gather at the event and enjoy the opportunity of networking in a relaxed setting.
The Director, Manisha Black highlighted that the true essence of the event is to foster teamwork, have fun and interact outside of office walls and barriers. By participating in the Corporate Challenge 2023, organization get an unlimited platform of showcase team spirit, culture, and commitment to employee well-being. “To ensure the highest quality experience for all participants, we have made the decision to strictly limit entries to a maximum of 700 participants. This move allows us to prioritize quality over quantity”, she said.
The entry fee for Corporate Challenge 2023 is M3200.00 per team, with each team comprising five members. Team entries opened from June 9th, 2023, and tickets can be purchased online through Black Mix Lesotho’s website.
