Prince Harry ‘lingers’ behind Meghan Markle as she maintains a ‘dynamic’ stance in new behind-the-scene photos, a body language expert has claimed.
The Sussexes released a new photograph showing them holding hands when they visited the UK last month.
Speculation online suggested Meghan and Harry had released the photographs to try and overshadow new photos of the King and Prince William just a few days before.
The couple are shown attending the One Young World summit for youth leaders in Manchester last month, just a few days before the Queen died.
The first image shows Meghan in a red blouse and matching trousers with a chunky gold ring and earrings.
The duchess stands face on, looking into the camera and holding one of Harry’s fingers.
The duke stands behind her at an angle, smiling in a smart black suit and tie.

Body language expert and author Judi James told Metro.co.uk Meghan looks incredibly ‘confident’ and ‘resilient’ in her pose.
She added: ‘If you could bottle resilience and confidence it might look like this, especially from Meghan who looks dynamic and powerful.
‘With her leg-splay and her direct eye-gaze as Harry lingers behind slightly, torso turned to her and clinging to her index finger as though keen to add some back-up and support.’
In the second image, taken ‘just moments’ before the opening ceremony of the summit, the couple are standing next to each other, side-on to the camera, holding hands and looking out at the audience.
Expert Judi said the couple look ‘fixed on a shared horizon’.
Judi told Metro.co.uk: ‘In the other pose they ignore the cameras altogether, with their eyes fixed on a shared horizon as we get to gaze at them from side-view.
‘Meghan’s smile and her upright back suggest a sense of destiny and that hand clasp involves linked fingers to signal total unity.’
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released the pictures just days after Buckingham palace issued a new image of the ‘Fab four’ – including the King alongside Camilla, Queen Consort, and the Prince and Princess of Wales.
The pictures of the Sussexes were taken by celebrity photographer Misan Harriman, director of the Southbank Centre, and a friend of the couple who has taken photos of celebrities including Rihanna, Stormzy, Tom Cruise and Giorgio Armani.
At the event where the two images were taken, Meghan gave a speech at the opening ceremony where she addressed a 2,000 strong crowd with representatives from 190 countries.
It was her first speech in Britain since she quit the Royal Family with her husband.
