Frankie Bridge hits back at ‘toxic’ mum shamers – telling them it’s ‘the one thing that really hurts me’

LOOSE Women star Frankie Bridge opened up about her "hurt" at the hands of online trolls.

Frankie and husband Wayne Bridge, 42, share two sons Parker, nine, and seven-year-old Carter.

The Saturdays singer loves to share fashion and beauty tips on her Instagram page - but tries to keep everything else private.

"I'm reluctant to talk about parenting on social media. Instagram can be a really judgemental place and you'll always find someone that has something to say, and that's the one thing that really hurts me when people criticise," Frankie said.

"Back in the day, if someone said something about how I looked it would hurt more, but now it's more painful if someone says something about Wayne or about the kids or about parenting, it really annoys me.

"Even when someone says you're such a great mum, I feel like asking: 'How do you know? You don't see.'"

She added to Hello magazine: "It starts when you're pregnant. There's such a toxic amount of opinion, and I think it's really sad because it often comes from women.

"It's frustrating because everyone's just trying to do their best. Every child is different. We've all had different upbringings, so we approach things differently.

"It's weird that people think they have a right to have an opinion, and I think it's really sad but I don't see it changing.

"It's hard for it not to bother me. But I think I'm just kind of slowly learning that it just doesn't really matter."

Back in 2020 shamers came for Frankie when she posted a picture of her kids on iPads in a restaurant.

Frankie told Metro: "I don’t really have an issue with that. It’s what, an hour out of their lives?

"I just wanted to show that reality for other parents who do the same, and say, “It’s normal, it’s fine.

"But obviously I knew there were going to be people that were highly offended by that and think it’s a disgrace."

Frankie and Wayne started dating in 2011.

The pair tied the knot in 2014.
