I was dress-coded at the airport for my travel loungewear – people say they’re mad I ‘look so good’

A SASSY young woman has taken flight online after she shared how she was dress-coded at the airport.

Her loungewear may not have been suitable for travel, but people online said they were just mad that she looked so good.

Angelique (@badgalangie) is a TikTok creator from the Bay Area, California.

The 23-year-old is incredibly transparent on the platform about the events that take place in her life, good and bad.

This thought process extends toward two videos where she briefly explained that she was dress coded at the airport.

In the first video, she doesn't say anything as she sat in a car with stylish black sunglasses on and stared at the camera with a bothered expression.

Toward the end of the video, she pulled the shades off and smiled as she sang along to the background audio.

The subtitle over the visual read: "Guess who got dress coded at the airport."

She further emphasized the statement with her video caption where she wrote: "just me?

Viewers were genuinely curious about what the outfit looked like, so that's why Angelique posted a part two with the reveal.

In the second video, she posted a photo of the fashionable loungewear, comprised of an army green sports bra and matching athletic biker shorts.

The content creator also gave more context about the situation that took place while boarding her flight from Maui, Hawaii to California.

"I have worn outfits like this to the airport multiple times. I've never been dress coded. I've probably worn worse stuff," she said.

Apparently, an airport official stopped her after scanning her boarding pass and asked if she had a sweater to cover herself up, which she did not.

The other woman told her that her entire sternum needed to be covered in order to board the plane.

"Literally, we had to stop the line. She made me get out of line. She did it in front of everybody. Had to go through my boyfriend's bag, pull out a big T-shirt... put it on," she added.

Angelique felt like there was a double standard considering the three people she saw with their chests and stomachs exposed in crop tops after she boarded.

Many people came to the TikTok user's defense in the comment section of the video.

"The public humiliation, you can sue for that," one person said.

"She’s just mad because you look good," another added.

"Airline people always are so mean. Like why is that a thing," a fan chimed in.
