ROCK fans were evacuated out of a major UK arena this evening following an "emergency".
Thousands were asked to get out of Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena following the concerning announcement.
The Darkness and Black Stone Cherry, who were playing a co-headline show, had only performed one song when the gig was cut short.
Fans heard: "There is an emergency in the building, please leave by the nearest exit."
The band's microphones were cut off and The Darkness lead singer Justin Hawkins is reported to have gestured to fans to get out.
A witness reported seeing smoke and a lighting rig sprayed with a fire extinguisher following the part-evacuation.
Despite the scare, reportedly carried out as a safety precaution, the concert started again just 20 minutes later.
