Motherwell church unveils full programme events for festive season

A Motherwell church has unveiled its full programme this festive season.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year and at Calvary Church in Muir Street, Motherwell the theme for their Christmas programme is 'The Heart of Christmas'.

Beginning this Sunday morning, December 4, and for the next three Sundays at 11am, the congregation will be looking at aspects of the Christmas story that are as relevant for us today as they were at that first Christmas over 2000 years ago.

The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Get all the news from your area – as well as features, entertainment, sport and the latest on Lanarkshire’s recovery from the coronavirus pandemic – straight to your fingertips, 24/7.

The topics will include the love, joy, peace and hope that we can find at Christmas and on December 18 there will be a special family Carol service.

In addition on Friday, December 2, 9 and 16 – there will be a Christmas coffee morning and all are invited to this warm space and enjoy free refreshments and snacks.

On Thursday, December 22, there will be a very special community carol service with a full brass band leading those attending with a blend of Christmas carols and your favourite Christmas music.

There are no admission charges for any of the events.
