Rangers press conference LIVE as Gio van Bronckhorst gets ready for Liverpool clash

It's all eyes on the Champions League now as Rangers get set for a huge clash with Liverpool at Anfield.

The Ibrox side might have landed in the group of death but the points will have to come from somewhere after defeats to Ajax and Napoli. On form, the Reds aren't up to much and Gio van Bronckhorst will fancy a Merseyside upset.

They showed last season after all that they can mix it with some of Europe's best as the likes of Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig fell like dominoes on their route to the Europa League final.

Anfield, and the Champions League, are a tier above of course but the magic of this competition is that you never truly know what could happen.

Jurgen Klopp 's team are stinging after drawing with Brighton at the weekend and they know they really need a win to gain some ground on Napoli, who face Ajax at the same time.

He's spoken to the press and now it's Van Bronckhorst's turn.

Fighting talk from Tsimikas

Greek left-back Kostas Tsimikas will stand in for Andy Robertson tomorrow and he also had plenty to say.

Last year was a very difficult years for us with so many games. That's why we haven't started so well. But I can;t look for excuses. We need to be 100 per cent focused for every challenge we face.

Nothing is finished yet. We have to bounce back. If you remember last year we were 15 points back but at the end we were so close to winning the Premier League.

We set goals at the beginning of the season and we're still going for them.

Klopp on Scottish football

Jurgen Klopp reckons Scottish football is an "exciting" market to scout players from as thw two sides get set to face off tomorrow.

Scottish football has increased a lot. Rangers and Celtic are obviously the stand out teams in the league. Rangers run last year was exceptional. I saw the game against Dortmund which was really good. The atmosphere was really impressive. Celtic have done well too and the Scotland team is full of talent. We have Calvin Ramsey here. He's only 18 and is a big talent. That's a good sign for Scottish football.

For sure it's a much better moment than four or five years ago. It's a cool place to scout again.

When Steven Gerrard was there we spoke about how much he enjoyed it but not now.

First time for everything

Remarkably, this will be the first time Rangers have met Liverpool in a European game.

Beginners' luck, Van Bronckhorst will be hoping!
