Rylan, Emma Willis and Oti Mabuse kick off Braemar to Aviemore trek for Comic Relief

Rylan, Emma Willis and Oti Mabuse have set off on their trek from Braemar to Aviemore to raise money for Comic Relief.

The trio will take part in the gruelling challenge to raise money for Comic Relief ahead of Red Nose Day on March 17. The group were met with big crowds cheering as they set off on their three-day hike through the stunning Cairngorm Mountains along the Lairig Ghru track.

TV presenters Emma, 46, and Rylan, 34, will join former Strictly Come Dancing judge Oti, 32, as they venture through the Scottish mountain range being entirely self-sufficient. As well as focussing on the gruelling 55-mile journey, the celebs will be equipped with ice axes and crampons to prepare for all climates and possibilities on their adventure.

Sharing snaps ahead of the challenge, Emma wrote: "As so it begins… on our way to the start line wish us luck," as the group looked a little tired already in the back of a car.

Davina McCall commented: "We mg good luck you guys xxsending so much love," as former Strictly star Ellie Jane Taylor penned: "Good luck chickens!!!!"

Dame Kelly Holmes added: "Good Luck you will smash it"

Rylan, Oti, and Emma have been sharing snaps and clips online from their training ahead of the hike as they prepared for the unpredictable climate in the Scottish Highlands. Posting on his Instagram Stories, former X Factor star Rylan was wrapped up in black knitwear and a huge hood as he strode over snow-covered mountains.

Despite wearing his winter warmers and snow glasses, fans could see that Rylan's nose had still turned pink due to the cold climate.

Keeping fans updated with their training, he shared another snap with Oti and Emma as the trio lay face-first in the snow. The caption read: "Training Day 2, done," followed by the hashtag: "#frozenrednose."

Setting off from Braemar today, February 8, the group held hands as they walked over the starting line. Red Nose Day returns to BBC One on Friday March 17 with hosts AJ Odudu, David Tennant, Joel Dommett, Paddy McGuinness and Zoe Ball.
