Vanessa Feltz lined up to star on popular dating show after sad split from fiance Ben Ofoedu

VANESSA Feltz is in talks to be take part in a popular dating show after the sad split from her fiancé Ben Ofoedu.

It comes after The Sun exclusively revealed that radio host Vanessa, 60, dumped the singer amid suspicions of him cheating on her with several women.

Following the news of Vanessa's sad split from Ben, 50, The Sun has learnt that E4's Celebs Go Dating are desperate to secure her for the next series.

A TV insider said: "Vanessa is top of the wish list when it comes to casting.

"Talks with potential cast mates are going to begin next month and producers are willing to throw big money Vanessa's way in a bid to get her to sign on the dotted line.

"She's been so brave and dignified with how she has dealt with this break-up, and the nation absolutely love her.

"Everyone wants to see her find her happy ending, she really deserves it, so bosses are confident it would be a real ratings winner if she agreed to get on board.

"It remains to be seen whether Vanessa will take them up on their offer but they are going to pull out all the stops, so watch this space."

Celebs Go Dating hit our screens in 2016 and has 11 successful series.

The likes of Charlotte Crosby, Joey Essex, Gemma Collins and Megan Barton Hanson have taken part.

It comes after Vanessa revealed that she felt so heartbroken after the split that it felt as though her "blood stopped pumping".

She told fans of her TalkTV drive time show that despite the "sadness" and "shock", she wouldn't let it get her down.

Vanessa said: "People who have been reading about my private life over the weekend will know that my 16-year relationship has come to an end.

"I have said, I'm very sad. I'm very shocked, but I am going to soldier forth. I hope to rise like a phoenix from the ashes and all of that."

She added: "Meanwhile, I'm feeling that brokenhearted thing, you know where your heart hurts.

"You know, you feel as if you know the blood's kind of stopping pumping halfway round.

"Then you kind of take a bit of a breath and shake a little bit, then it starts pumping again."

A number of celebrities, including - Holly Willoughby, Zoe Ball and Rochelle Humes - rushed to support Vanessa following the news.

Vanessa has reassured fans she’s doing ok and thanked them for their ‘kindness’ .

The star put her best foot forward in a multicoloured dress as she spent quality time with her daughter and grand-children on a day out on Sunday.

She told The Sun at the star-studded Epic Tails screening at Vue Cinema Leicester Square: "Thank you all for your kindness. I'm doing ok."

Vanessa and Ben first got together in 2005 and were engaged a year later.
