A VIDEO of a huge lion biting a car at a drive-through safari has amazed viewers on social media.

The video was uploaded to TikTok by @priceyhp2 and has gone viral on the social platform.

The video shows the moment the massive lion bites the back of a VW Polo.

The driver tries to reverse back to scare the lion, but the animal keeps gnawing at the car.

After a few goes at the rear bumper the Polo drives off but the lion decides not to follow.

Fortunately, the lion didn't cause any damage to the vehicle.

The video amazed viewers and 1,000 people left a comment below.

One said: "Try to convince your insurance that the lion tried the taste of the bumper."

Another said: "Can you imagine the guy getting out and pointing a finger saying you got insurance."

Other users with the same car joked: "Well, I will not take my Polo on the safari."

Animals causing damage at British drive-through safaris is nothing new, but its usually monkeys up to trouble.

A lion taking issue with a car and having a go is relatively rare.

Signage at drive-through safaris warns drivers that their cars are likely to sustain damage.

It doesn't put many off, though, with many losing windscreen wipers, water jet nozzles, aerials and loose bits of exterior trim.
