I-Help Liberia Project, an international educational NGO on Thursday, April 6, 2023 certificated another batch of Liberian teachers in advanced Mathematics training following several months of online training aimed at building the teaching capacity of the beneficiaries for their respective schools in Monrovia and other parts of the country.
This colorful occasion was held at the famous Ministerial Complex in Congo Town, the suburb of Monrovia, the Liberian capital with two officials of the Ministry of Education in persons of Mr. Saku Dukuly; Assistant Minister of Science Technology Vocational & Special and Inclusive Education, and Mrs. Felecia Sackey Doe-Sumah; Assistant Minister of Basic and Secondary Education lauding the efforts of the team at I-Help Liberia project.
31 teachers from Montserrado and Margibi Counties were overwhelmed of their certification in advanced training in Mathematics, and further expressed thanks and appreciation to the head of the online program, Mr. Andrus Obus, and Mr. Asumana Jabateh Randall who the awardees described as a man of vision for making it possible for the training.
The Director of Science at the Ministry of Education, Sangay Freeman who also served as Master of Ceremony gave the overview of the program, noting that this recent exercise is the second in the series of the training, She also disclosed that 31 teachers were certificated came from Monrovia and Margibi County, while 11 came from Nimba County.
For his part, the Head of I-Help Liberia Project Abraham Jabateh expressed thanks and appreciation to the awardees, and further urged them to be more serious in what they have acquired during the online training, noting, “The training you have received over the last months must be utilized in the interest of your respective students”, Mr. Jabateh told the awardees, and also thanked the lead facilitator of the online training program, Mr. Andrus Obus for his quest to making sure that the educational system of Liberia is improved.
The awardees in their separate remarks poured praises on the organizers of the program, making specific of Mr. Asumana J. Randall who they described as the chief patron of the program.
