LIBERIA: LRA Dismisses Fake Recruitment Information On Social Media

The Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) has condemned and disassociated itself from a link circulating on social media indicating that it is hiring thousands of revenue and tax officers.

“This trending information is totally false and misleading and must not by trusted by anyone out there”, an LRA release issued in Monrovia today stated.

The LRA said the fake information is a product of cybercrimes and called on the public not to click on such link as it is a phishing attempt intended to steal people’s personal information and identity.

“We advise the public to always listen to the radios, visit our website or follow our social media pages to authentic all information about the LRA such as vacancies and other revenue notices,” the release quoted LRA communications Manager, D. Kaihenneh Sengbeh.
